I had a few highlights put in my hair when I was twelve only because I wanted to be just like my older cousins. My Aunt, the Hair Stylist, indulged me during a summer visit. She kept doing it over the years to come because I absolutely loved it! This is one of the reasons I decided to become a Hair Stylist, I wanted to make others love their hair!
After trying college, I decided to attend Cosmetology School and then went to work for my Aunt who owned Fusions Salon and Studio. I learned a great deal from her, the other talented Hair Stylist at Fusions, and by attending Redken classes in NYC all the way to Las Vegas. When my Aunt decided to pack away her shears and clippers it was only natural that I should buy the salon. I can proudly say Fusions Salon & Studio is a family business that was established in 2002.
When the building I rented was sold, it seemed to be the perfect time to downsize. I am now in a Salon Suite, which is commonplace for Hair Stylist these days, with less overhead and maintenance, love it! Due to downsizing, I had to eliminate the Studio, but all in all this allows me more time to focus on YOU!
